Jamie Knapp, Principal
A communications practitioner for more than 20 years, Jamie Knapp specializes in coalition management, writing, and strategic communications on transportation, energy, air quality, and environmental issues.

Knapp has guided policy and technology strategy and served as coalition manager for numerous campaigns involving California climate, vehicle, and clean fuel regulations. She has developed and produced printed and electronic information materials targeting legislators and media, written op-eds, served as a contributing editor to an alternative fuel trade publication, provided technical writing and editing services, and assisted with other strategic communications efforts for clients in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.
Knapp began her career in North Carolina. She worked as a radio journalist and news director in the state capital, Raleigh, before changing her focus to advocacy. She has won awards for broadcast journalism, public relations campaigns and feature writing, and in 1981 she shared honors with her radio news department in accepting the nationally coveted George Foster Peabody Award.
Knapp has served on numerous nonprofit and communications association boards, including the Sacramento Public Relations Association, and the Los Angeles-based Coalition for Clean Air. She received a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
